JTAT supports the annual Nengajo (New Year’s Card) Contest by the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth (JASDFW).
2026年賀状コンテスト
“2026 will be the Year of the Fire Horse, Horse, or, Hinoeuma, Heigo, Umadoshi. The main purpose of this contest is to provide the opportunity to explore the history and customs of sending nengajo at New Year’s. Nengajo are a traditional New Year’s greeting card, usually the size of a postcard, that Japanese people send out in January. Typically, Nengajo are sent to friends, family, coworkers, your boss, and even valued customers! The winners of the JASDFW nengajo contest will receive the certificates. The winners’ cards will be displayed at the JASDFW’s Mochitsuki Event, and will also be published on our website and social media platforms for all to enjoy.
